Weekend-ing

Friday Night. After the wedding rehearsal we took baby girl out on the boat for the first time. We have tried several life vests and she hates them all! After a little while of her being top heavy and hating the vest I just took it off. Our boat has tall enough sides and we were trolling so we were going super slow. We played on the floor with an inflatable raft and she loved it!

Saturday. Our friends Adam and Christine's go married and we had a blast! We clean up good!

Sunday. Was hard! We were all feeling the repercussions of our actions the night before! We had a leisure day. We did a few projects around the house, took naps and biked over to a friends house for dinner. All and all a great weekend! :)

Labor day weekend is this weekend and we don't have anything planned....it feels sooo strange!

Weekend Recap

This weekend my sister and her family came over to the west side of the state to visit and stay at our new house for the first time! Her husband helped Eric do a ton of stuff around the house so it was both work and fun! There was a festival going on this weekend so town was filled with lots of activities.

Friday night we made ribs on the grill and had dinner on the deck. Then we took a stroll down by the beach! Baby girl loved moved the rocks from one place to another!! Katie and Noah loved playing close to the water. Noah ever got in and went for a swim in his clothed! He loved every minute of it!!!!Then we had a bon fire which we made some excellent s'mores at!

Saturday my sister and I took the girls into town and did some shopping and watched the parade! The girls loved it!
After that we went back to the house to see all the progress the boys were making! After a few naps we had dinner in town which was nice but not the best service.
Sunday we all got up and went to the local (tiny) airport for breakfast. This is something the Rotary Club puts on at the airport once a year. They have a huge pancake breakfast and you get to walk around the planes and they have a helicopter ride you can go on and there's also a hot air balloon you can go up in. The kids thought it was awesome and the pancakes were amazing!

We had such an amazing weekend and we can't wait to make it an annual family weekend!

Whats Hap-Pinning Wednesday

Our lives have been crazy lately and it's just starting to settle down...THANKGOODNESS!

We moved, we had baby girls first birthday party and we went to Disney all in one week! I will post Disney tips with a 1 year old soon.

Baby girl got her first helmet! She loves it soo much! When I knock on it she knocks right back! We got it for when we go for bike rides. My sister is letting us bower her trailer behind thing for kids but I don't know if she's supposed to have a helmet on in there or not but I figured better safe then sorry.

Emily and I had a girls shopping day on Sunday so we got her new helmet at Target!

Eric was out of town this weekend and I needed to give Moose a bath. Our new showers have glass doors where I can lock him in the bath so he cant jump out soaking wet! Also since baby girl is crawling all over the place I had to contain her in her pop up chair. She had fun watching the craziness of me attempting to bath Moose!

Just binged Riverdale on Netflix. SOOO good. My friend had been bugging me to watch it because she knows I'm a big Pretty Little Liar fan. It's similar but it's a play off of the Archie Comics. It super good!

Also since we moved I now have DVR which I've never had and we also have HD! I know those seem like standards on everything now but we have done basic of the basic for SOO LONG!

I am craving fall so bad! I always do at the end of July! hhahaah No I'm not a pumpkin spice latte girl but I love pumpkins, cider, donuts, blankets, sweater weather and it'll be my 30th birthday this year!

These are just a few of the things that are hap-pinning! Linking up with Jenn at Going The Distance.

1 Year Must Haves

I tried to put together a list of items that I don't think I could live without as baby girl just turned a year old!! Still can't believe she's a year!

Lovie - Emily sleeps with this security blanket that we call her lovie. We wash it often so I decided that I should buy extras should anything happen to it. I have three total so we should be good for a while!

Wood Blocks - She loves these things! I keep a few in a Ziploc bag in the diaper bag for emergency situations. They are great for her to build up, knock down, clap together and put inside things like an empty tissue box, Tupperware or empty puff container!

Sippy Cup - I probably spent $100 total finding a sippy cup that she could use. We found out she knew how to use a straw so we found a sippy cup that has a straw but it also retracts to keep it from spilling. We actually found this one in Disney so we bought another when we got home to have a back up.

Book/Toy Shelf - We had a built in unit in our last house but in our new house I didn't have anything to hold her books and toys. I put this shelf together in 30 minutes by myself which was great that it was so easy. I bought cute little mint cubes to go in the shelves. I like it because it's her height. She can get everything out that she needs and when she gets older I can turn it on its side and use it as she grows.

Tupperware - I have been giving baby girl empty Tupperware to play with since she was like 6 months old. She loves to try to put the tops on the bottles, put things in and shake them, and also stack them up. Cheap, easy to wash and keeps her busy for hours!

Aquaphor  - I love this stuff. I have it in all my bags! This stuff takes away every mark that she has. Baby girl has a little bit of eczema like her daddy so we need to keep her skin hydrated and protected. This stuff helps with dry skin, diaper rash and skin irritation.

Wipes - I recommend having pack of wipes in every room! You never know when you will need to wipe something up, wipe something off or wipe something down!

Puffs - These are a life saver! She will settle down in .5 seconds!

Teething Biscuits - These are a recent development. She definitely chows down on these things!

I'm still learning must haves each day but for now as long as I have these with me I should be ok!

P.S. I must say it feels good to be blogging again!
