Weekend Recap - Mother's Day

I hope you all had a wonderful weekend celebrating mothers and being celebrated as mothers! It was my first mothers day....well sorta since she's still in utero!
Saturday I attended a lovely brunch with my sister, mom, aunts and their daughter in laws and about 300 strangers for a great cause! Mary's Mantle is a Metro-Detroit based homeless shelter for expectant mothers who don't have a place to live or resources to raise their child. They take 4 women in at a time and help them get education, stable living, jobs, and help them to become mothers. It was a great event and I think they raised a lot of money for these young women!

Also they had a $5 purse sale which my table of 10 alone cleaned house! These are the few that I got! :)
After brunch we went back to my sisters house and we went through all of her kids old baby clothes. I took home two full tubs of clothes, hats, shoes, onsies, and a ton of other baby stuff. Also I forgot about a tub of maternity clothes she gave me a while ago but I wasn't showing enough to use any of it yet....now I am! I am so thankful that I was able to bring that back with us! Our little girl is so blessed to have family that loves her enough to let us use all of their old baby things! We haven't even had our showers yet and she already has a closet stacked full of clothes, bottles, breast pumps, bumbo chair, breastfriend pillow, blankets, a swing, books, and sooo much more. I can't wait till after this weekend! We are having friends stay with us and I told Eric after this weekend the guest bed is leaving and the crib is going up! I need to organize everything because it's all crammed in a closet right now.

My Niece Katie was going through the clothes with us and putting the baby clothes on her dolls. She would say "too big" or "too small"! It was adorable! Every time we see her or when we leave she says "Hi Julie baby" or "Bye Julie baby" and puts her hand on my belly. It literally melts my heart!

After seeing the kids and packing my car full of baby stuff my parents, Eric and I went to get a bit to eat at Camp Ti which is where one of my showers will be. It was a nice night out so we ate outside, then realized it wasn't as nice as we thought so they turned the outside heaters on. After dinner Mom and I snuck away to do a little shopping. I got these three dresses. All very comfortable and will stretch/grow with my belly! And I got this awesome green cross body because 3 purses wasn't enough for me.

Sunday we went out to lunch with my family before taking off. We stopped by our friends house to see all their new renovations. After we went to get my mothers day present from Eric. I have been wanting this pillow for a while and since I'm almost 7 months I figured now was a good time!

We finally made it home and when we got home I was so busy I didn't have time to sit until my head hit the pillow! I gave Eric his birthday present early and he was very excited! He loves truck snacks since he is in his truck most of the day, he lost his Costa sunglass case a little while ago so I got him a new one, then I printed off pictures of past hunting, fishing and guys trip and had them blown up and laminated. One of his hunting buddies has this in his garage and he loves it! They reminisce about the stories and it makes him super happy so I thought we could start on in our little garage. Man he was smiling from ear to ear looking at all the pictures I had printed off. I'm sure we will get more made but he loves the ones I choose for now and couldn't wait to get them up!
Moose had a good weekend too!
Hope you all had a wonderful weekend!
