Memorial Day in Alpena, MI

A group of our friends have rented a house boat over the past two memorial day weekends. This year we decided to rent a house upnorth. It was amazing and I would recommend it to anyone! It was up in Alpena, MI at the Frienship Lodge. The weather was amazing and the house was comfortable, clean and updated! Sadly I don't have a lot of pictures but I think the few I have show how much fun we had!
Our new boat! :)

Five on Friday

Wow I haven't done one of these in a while but I have a few that I can't hold back!
1.) Thursday nights Eric try's to watch a local hunting show if he's not busy while I'm watching Grey's Anatomy (he can't stomach the hospital stuff...no surprise there). Last night on the show a daughter and her Dad were mushroom hunting and Eric was so excited he was screaming for me to come and look at the show. He was like 'see we can go mushroom hunting together and it says it keeps her out of trouble!' Seriously one of the cutest moments ever!
2.) I bought a Snoogle pillow and I'm still not sure if its helping me or hindering me from sleep. Moose however loves it and cant get close enough to me! He's seriously like a huge boulder in our bed making it impossible to get the covers out from under him. But look how cute he looks.
3.)Yesterday I decided to make cute little closet dividers for our little ones room. I printed them on sticker paper and decided to laminate them instead of buying the plastic holders. I'm cheap like that!
4.) I think our baby girl is finally on a schedule. She wakes up at 6-630 with me and kicks for a little while. She starts up again at 830, 945, 11 and then again at 130-2. Then she doesn't really kick again until dinner around 6. She kicks a bit between then and bed but she never wakes me up with movement, not yet anyways. Keeping my fingers crossed that she keeps this pattern! :)
5.) 29 weeks today and I totally forgot to take my 28 week picture...oops. We had way too much stuff going on this week so I guess our pictures from the weekend can be my 28 week picture.
Also we found this gem of my husband as a kid and I just love it sooooo much.

Have a good weekend! :)

What's Hap-pinning Wednesday: Life Lately

Happy Wednesday! I'm linking up with Jessi and Jenn for "What's Hap-pinning Wednesday" to share a little bit of our life lately.

+I am currently 28 weeks and 5 days pregnant. I am definitely starting to feel pregnant. I have been so blessed not to have many pregnancy symptoms yet. This week I have started to have bad acid reflux and I feel out of breath all the time.
+Monday I had to get my blood drawn for the Rhogam shot. On top of that I decided to get the Dtap shot out of the way all in one day. 3 pokes and my left arm was in a lot of pain the past few days. It's starting to feel better today but that was not fun!
+I rented Dirty Grandpa because I'm in love with Zac Efron and man was it dirty! I was ready for something similar to Neighbors but they took this movie to a whole other level! Be very comfortable with the person you want this movie with because its basically all about sex and drugs. Neighbors 2 comes out this weekend and I can't wait to see it! :)
+This weekend Eric and his buddies were in a fishing tournament. The weather was crappy but they still had fun. Sunday was the only nice day so I tried to snap some pictures.

28 weeks on the right 22 weeks on the left!
+Eric put the crib together last night and it looks amazing! I'm still deciding on these curtains but I think I need a longer rod so I can spread them out more.

Moose wanted nothing to do with building the crib.

+ Here is a mash up of what is going in the room on the walls. I everything from Hobby Lobby except the window that will go above her crib.

+We were going through Eric and my baby pictures to have on display at our shower and I found this adorable picture of him when he was little! It's currently hanging on our fridge because I love it so much!

27 Weeks 5 Days

Today I am 27 weeks 5 Days along. Friday will be the start of my third trimester and I'm starting to get anxious and excited.
  • Last week I had my glucose test which came back negative or normal so I don't have gestational diabetes which is great.
  • I'm up 6 lbs from my last appointment so I'm afraid that's going to start being the normal. I've been keeping pretty steady with my weight but now I think we're about to skyrocket up! :(
  • I still don't have any major cravings yet.
  • Baby girl is definitely in there doing somersaults. The movements are not as often as before and the kicks and jabs are starting to settle. But from what I've been reading I'll need to start counting her movements and the jabs and kicks will start getting more intense as she grows.
  • My next appointment I have to get the Rhogam shot. I'm a little nervous but I knew I was going to have to get it since my mom and sister both did.
  • I have gone in spurts of eating a lot and eating a little. In my first trimester I felt like I ate a lot of small meals or snacks because my stomach couldn't hold that much food at one time. In my second trimester I have been able to go longer periods without a snack.....I wouldn't turn down a snack but I didn't need it as badly. Going into the third I find myself snacking a bit more so that I can feel her in there.
  •  Eric said to me the other day...."You look pregnant".....we had a long conversation after that ahah. He meant it in a way of 'you look like you are starting to get uncomfortable' and I'm really not that uncomfortable other then when I have to bend over. I've officially given up on wearing a bra in the house unless we have guests over.
  • Finding outfits to wear to work is starting to become a challenge. I've always worn flowy tops so that has helped me stay in my normal clothes but now those flowy tops have lost their flow and have started to cling to my stomach.
  • The body pillow I got for mothers day is both good and bad. It's extremely comfortable when I am trying to go to sleep, however I wake up in the middle of the night to use the bathroom or toss and turn and its hard to get back into or adjust to the other side. I'm literally in a little cocoon and its hard to move once your in the cocoon! If you are a dead sleeper, meaning you don't move until the next morning when you wake up, then this thing would be great for you!

Weekend Recap - Mother's Day

I hope you all had a wonderful weekend celebrating mothers and being celebrated as mothers! It was my first mothers day....well sorta since she's still in utero!
Saturday I attended a lovely brunch with my sister, mom, aunts and their daughter in laws and about 300 strangers for a great cause! Mary's Mantle is a Metro-Detroit based homeless shelter for expectant mothers who don't have a place to live or resources to raise their child. They take 4 women in at a time and help them get education, stable living, jobs, and help them to become mothers. It was a great event and I think they raised a lot of money for these young women!

Also they had a $5 purse sale which my table of 10 alone cleaned house! These are the few that I got! :)
After brunch we went back to my sisters house and we went through all of her kids old baby clothes. I took home two full tubs of clothes, hats, shoes, onsies, and a ton of other baby stuff. Also I forgot about a tub of maternity clothes she gave me a while ago but I wasn't showing enough to use any of it yet....now I am! I am so thankful that I was able to bring that back with us! Our little girl is so blessed to have family that loves her enough to let us use all of their old baby things! We haven't even had our showers yet and she already has a closet stacked full of clothes, bottles, breast pumps, bumbo chair, breastfriend pillow, blankets, a swing, books, and sooo much more. I can't wait till after this weekend! We are having friends stay with us and I told Eric after this weekend the guest bed is leaving and the crib is going up! I need to organize everything because it's all crammed in a closet right now.

My Niece Katie was going through the clothes with us and putting the baby clothes on her dolls. She would say "too big" or "too small"! It was adorable! Every time we see her or when we leave she says "Hi Julie baby" or "Bye Julie baby" and puts her hand on my belly. It literally melts my heart!

After seeing the kids and packing my car full of baby stuff my parents, Eric and I went to get a bit to eat at Camp Ti which is where one of my showers will be. It was a nice night out so we ate outside, then realized it wasn't as nice as we thought so they turned the outside heaters on. After dinner Mom and I snuck away to do a little shopping. I got these three dresses. All very comfortable and will stretch/grow with my belly! And I got this awesome green cross body because 3 purses wasn't enough for me.

Sunday we went out to lunch with my family before taking off. We stopped by our friends house to see all their new renovations. After we went to get my mothers day present from Eric. I have been wanting this pillow for a while and since I'm almost 7 months I figured now was a good time!

We finally made it home and when we got home I was so busy I didn't have time to sit until my head hit the pillow! I gave Eric his birthday present early and he was very excited! He loves truck snacks since he is in his truck most of the day, he lost his Costa sunglass case a little while ago so I got him a new one, then I printed off pictures of past hunting, fishing and guys trip and had them blown up and laminated. One of his hunting buddies has this in his garage and he loves it! They reminisce about the stories and it makes him super happy so I thought we could start on in our little garage. Man he was smiling from ear to ear looking at all the pictures I had printed off. I'm sure we will get more made but he loves the ones I choose for now and couldn't wait to get them up!
Moose had a good weekend too!
Hope you all had a wonderful weekend!
